Rural on purpose
Corrales sits between Rio Rancho and the Rio Grande, strung along Corrales Road with farms, orchards, horse properties and the bosque on the river side. A lot of residents like it rural — dirt lanes, open fields and irrigation ditches are part of the character. That's why many Corrales projects aren't about blacktopping everything; they're about getting rid of dust, ruts and mud on the parts of the property you use most.
What we usually build in Corrales
- Asphalt near the house — the parking court, garage approach and turnaround.
- Chip seal on longer drives and private lanes — a natural stone look that suits the village and stops dust.
- Compacted millings for barns, arenas, trailer parking and equipment areas.
- Repairs and overlays on older asphalt drives that have cracked or broken at the edges.

Sand, ditches and trees
Corrales ground ranges from sand on the west side near Rio Rancho to siltier soil closer to the river. Irrigation ditches and big cottonwoods add their own challenges: we keep pavement off ditch banks and easements, plan drainage so water doesn't run into a ditch or a neighbor's field, and remove roots from the driveway footprint so they don't lift the asphalt.
Village rules
Corrales has its own requirements for work affecting village roads, ditches and easements. We'll check what applies to your project at the quote. More on our Corrales driveway paving page.

Common questions
Will asphalt look out of place on my property?
Not if it's used where it makes sense. Many owners pave near the house and use chip seal on the long drive, which looks natural and still kills the dust.
Can you pave a shared private lane?
Yes. We can price it by section or by lot so neighbors can split the cost.
Do you work near irrigation ditches?
We keep pavement off ditch banks and easements and plan drainage so we don't send water or sediment into a ditch.
