Newer homes, different needs
The 87144 side of Rio Rancho — neighborhoods like Cabezon, Loma Colorado, Northern Meadows, Mariposa and the areas off Unser, Northern and Paseo del Volcan — is mostly newer construction. Most of these homes came with concrete driveways. What owners usually want from us is more room: a pad for the RV or trailer, a wider driveway for a third vehicle, or a solid surface on a side yard that's been gravel since the house was built.
Common projects
RV and trailer pads
Built heavier than a driveway, with a smooth tie-in to your existing concrete. More about RV pads.
Driveway widening
An extra lane beside the existing driveway, matched to the slope so water still drains to the street.
Side-yard and back-yard access
Through the gate to a back pad, shed or shop. We check gate widths and turning room first.
HOA streets and amenity lots
Crack sealing, sealcoating and overlays for private streets and community parking — on a multi-year plan if you like.
HOA approval
Most of these neighborhoods have architectural guidelines. We'll give you a written scope and a simple drawing for your submission, and we're happy to answer questions from the committee.
New-build ground
On newer lots, the soil next to the house is often backfill from construction — loose and easy to settle. We dig it out and replace it with compacted base under any new pavement so the pad doesn't sink along the house.

Common questions
Will an asphalt pad look odd next to my concrete driveway?
Asphalt next to concrete is common for RV and side-yard pads. A clean, straight joint and a matched grade make it look intentional.
Do you work in my HOA?
We work across northern Rio Rancho. Approval rules vary, so check your guidelines; we can provide what the committee needs.
How wide should an RV pad be?
Usually a bit wider than the RV plus room to open doors and walk around — we'll measure your RV and lot.
